Sticky Roasted Chicken
Ingredients
2 tsps salt
1 tsp paprika
3/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup chopped onions
1 - 3 lb. whole chicken
Directions
In a small bowl combine paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, thyme, white pepper,
garlic powder, and black pepper. Rub mixture into chicken inside and out, patting
mixture into skin to make sure it is evenly distributed and down deep into the skin.
Place in a sealable plastic bag and refrigerate overnight. When ready to roast,
stuff the cavity with onions. Roast uncovered 250 degrees about 5 hours, basting
occasionally with pan juices or until pan juices start to carmelize on bottom
of pan and chicken is golden brown.
